The Gateshead Arms - Whickham

Recently, we held a post-funeral reception for my father at this restaurant, and every effort was made to ensure the day was special. The manager organized a slideshow of our father's pictures on a TV in our seating area, which was a lovely touch. The food was outstanding, and all the staff were incredibly helpful and compassionate. Our family truly appreciated everything the team did for us. Thank you so much.

The staff at this restaurant are lovely and welcoming, the prices are reasonable, and there is an extensive selection of rums and gins. Plus, they have a Rum Shack garden on the rooftop!

Absolutely love the feel, been a while since I've been in but sometimes change is better, can't wait to go back and experience the rum shack, high recommend for midweek drinks and especially the Tuesday for quiz night, it is literally next level!
