We made some effort to get to this establishment on a long weekend Sunday. The Highway was jammed with traffic.I had eggs Bennie with Bacon and I also ordered a side of sausage. I asked for the potatoes (hash brown type to be extra crispy. my wife ordered the lemon blueberry muffin and the yogurt and granola. We had tea & coffee as well. Our order was taken and we sat at a table, as per usual procedure. First we found the folded-up napkin holding the only serving of cutlery was dirty, we never got a second set, we got it ourselves. My wife asked for a little cup/bowl to hold her tea bag in case she wanted a second cup of tea, that too was dirty. As I believe the actual cup she going to drink out of. was filled with tiny white flakes, and very repugnant. At that point she wanted to leave, but i just took delivery of my food. The eggs were perfect, as was the bacon. The sausage looked really fatty and it wasn't your typical breakfast sausage links, but slices cut on the diagonal from a much thicker sausage. The potatoes, which i would have expected to be hot, because it was a 'special request' to make it more than usual crispy, were barely warm at best. The lemon -blueberrymuffin, had no trace of lemon flavour whatsoever. And I was recommended it too. Why, I don't know. It was a big disappointment, and tasteless. The bathroom had run out of toilet paper, and soap.My impression is that they need more hands to run this "busy" restaurant in the area of maintenance. We will not be returning, and will pass our opinion to anyone who asks us about this establishment.
On our way up to Jaffre Lakes, the 7 of us stopped here for breakfast...Only a few tables were taken, which concerned us, but the front desk at our hotel recommended it to us...The place was nice, neat and well appointed---better than a diner or than the typical cafe as one would expect...Our waiter came over to us immediately and provided outstanding service...The food came quickly and everyone made a point to say how good everything was! Definitely recommend for breakfast...
There is a Wild Wood in Whistler Village, however it is well worth the effort to seek out this restaurant in Function Junction. There is a great selection of Breakfast options, and a laid back atmosphere. Outside seating available, weather permitting. Nice food and great value as well.
Tasty food and great service. Eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, and the cranberry sourdough was delicious.
This is a just a place to eat if you have reason to go to Function Junction or are on your way out of Whistler. The food is okay.
