Manchu Kitchen - Whitby

We love going to this small restaurant for delicious Chinese food. They have a great variety of dishes at prices similar to other Chinese restaurants in the area. What sets this place apart is the fresh ingredients and incredible flavors in every dish we've tried. Our favorite is the spicy fried rice, which we've never seen on any other Chinese food menu before.

The meat is tough and full of gristle, with a lot of muscle and fat. Despite seasoning it well, the quality of the meat is low and cheap cuts are used consistently in the dishes.

We absolutely adore Manchu Kitchen - we've been loyal customers for 15 years now. The portions are generous and affordable - we can easily feed our family of four with just 2 dinners and lunch from here (LOL). Our favorite dishes include the Wonton soup with big chunks of pork, the delicious Singapore vermicelli with yellow curry, and our daughter's top pick, the garlic broccoli. We prefer the egg rolls over the spring rolls, and even though I'm not a fan of chicken balls, my daughter loves them because they are made with huge chunks of chicken breast and not just batter.

We've been eating at Manchu Kitchen for 10 years now and the food is always amazing. The chicken is actual chicken breast, not some random mystery pieces. The egg rolls and spring rolls are all handmade and fresh. We usually get the Szechwan chow mein (mild, not spicy), black pepper beef, fried rice, chicken balls and egg rolls. The prices are amazing, the food and amazing and the portions are generous. Plus the owner is so friendly and remembers our order and voices on the phone.Highly recommend Manchu Kitchen!

This is our Favourite Chinese Food restaurant! We were told about this place from friends about 6 years ago and we don't go anywhere else now because the food is always Great and Tasty. We have used Manchu Kitchen to cater our various parties including New Years Eve which fed 50 people. We usually get the "Family for 5B" deal with an order of breaded shrimp and long ribs for our family of 7. The servings sizes are plentiful and we usually have left overs for the next day. Cecil the owner is always friendly and smiling when we go in there to pick up our food.
