The Villa - Whitby

We visited for a Hibachi experience, and it turned out to be quite enjoyable. The food was fresh, and the staff were friendly. We tried the shrimp and had a great time. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I’m giving it 4 stars because I've been to other restaurants where the chef interacted more with the people at the table, which I missed in this experience.

This teppanyaki-style restaurant is a lot of fun, and both the food and service were fantastic. The only drawback was the service fee added to the bill, which my partner overlooked, leading to an unintentional extra tip. It would have been helpful if the restaurant had better informed guests about the service fee.

Excellent dining experience! The customer service was great, and the service was fast. The food tasted delicious, making it a perfect spot for families. There are plenty of parking spaces available as well.

My fiancée here for her birthday in this week, we had never tried teppanyaki before and a family member recommended the villa. very glad that they did this because we were both very happy with the excellent eating and great service. we had dinner for two with 12 garnel, lobster, steak and huh. the starters were the suppe and a green salate and the main was accompanied by a stirring fried rice and mixed vegetables that were fried before us on the flattop by their amazing chef. we have a show with the wobble volcano and some other funny fire tricks. so much we needed a togo box, would go definitiw again with a bigger group. absolutely recommend this place, check it out when they are in whitby!

Used to be the best spot in Whitby but unfortunately things have changed. My udon was good, but 1 person in my group got an upset stomach after the sushi. Service was very slow and wasn't the friendliest. Normally very understanding and don't comment or care on that but the forced 18.5% service charge on our small group of 4 is what made that not seem right. They also charge for tea. Probably posted in the menu, but uncommon in Japanese places.
