Good amount of parking and it was another 30 minutes closer to Breinigsville than Loves down the road. It looked like Loves had less parking left than this location. Across the street is still a bit more parking at the Sunoco station. The restaurant that is part of the Hickory Run exit is good. I had pork chops. A bit on the thinner side but has good flavor. Average prices here. There's even a small repair shop across the street. The restaurant is large. It looks like a quiet Sunday night here.
The directions are a little off here as this is right off of I-80 on 534. Attached to a Valero gas station, and have recently changed their name. And menu and prices. We used to LOVE this place. Open 24hrs for those early morning munchies. Last time we went the prices sky rocketed, yet the same food on a fancier menu. Not worth $30 for 2 ppl at a truck stop. On a good note, the staff is awesome! 5 stars for them! Unfortunately we won't be going back again. I'll stick to the white haven diner and wait til at 6am!
My wife and I had skipped breakfast, so she requested that we stop for something to eat. All the Pennsylvania Turnpike Travel Plazas are managed by HMSHost, offering a variety of food options including A-Plus Convenience Store, Burger King, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Auntie Anne's Pretzels, and Quiznos. We decided to go with Quiznos and ordered the Black Angus Steakhouse sandwich. It was prepared quickly and tasted fantastic, featuring a wonderful rosemary roll. My wife and I enjoyed every bite! We’ll definitely order this again. The restrooms were clean and well-stocked, and since it’s a relatively new service plaza, we had a pleasant experience overall. Just keep in mind that food prices at these locations are a bit higher due to the captive audience.
The person at the register was quite curt with customers and displayed a rude demeanor. I will definitely choose to go to the gas station across the street next time.
This is located on Route 476 (the PA Turnpike), not Route 80. It features a collection of restaurants and a gas station for travelers. It seems that someone else is referring to a truck stop at the Hickory Run exit off Route 80.
