Ihop - White Haven

IHOP is a good go to breakfast restaurant when you are traveling. I ordered a poblano omelette without the added pancake mix (they use real eggs when you do it this way). The omelette was a little spicy and the stuffing was plentiful. The eggs were fluffy. This was a tasty very predictable, good omelette. I had a side of sausage links which were also good. I ordered 2 but should have had 4 because they are small. The coffee was nothing special, but it was hot. The server was very nice. I was by myself, and she sat down across from me when I took my order which was friendly. The thing I really like about IHOP is that they are fast. I barely waited 5 minutes for the food. The bottom line is that IHOP is a very good, predictable breakfast place. You always know what you are going to get when you eat at any IHOP, and this one is a fine example.

The last few times we where there the service wasn't that good and the food was on the cold side and if it wasn't cold it was burnt

So we attempted to try this spot a couple of months ago, And they were so painfully shorthanded that we were told we couldn't be seated for at least 20 or 30 minutes they just didn't have any help. We were in our way somewhere so we didn't wait. So it kept us away for a while, just not knowing if we were going to have the same experience again. It's only less than 2 miles from our house and there isn't much selection in this area so we decided to try it again today. We were very pleasantly surprised !! We both had a different combo breakfast, and coffee. Everything was hot, and delicious, and the service was excellent!! The restaurant is a little overpriced, hence the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Breakfast was $27, and $5 tip, which is very high for this area, most likely because it's for travelers and truckers. As a local, if it was more aligned with normal prices for the area, we would definitely be regulars. I didn't take any pictures, sorry! (Not typical for me lol) One tip I would give the restaurant is put the side of pancakes on a larger plate. I hate making a mess and there was no way to add syrup to the pancakes without it spilling over onto the table.

Have passed by this exit many times wishing for someplace convenient to stop. Glad we finally tried it. IHOP is a nice predictable place to have in a truck stop and this one was fine! Not too busy on a Sunday evening but the waitress was friendly and efficient and the place was overall clean and the food quick and good. My wife loves gluten-free pancake option. My cheesesteak was respectable. We'll no doubt stop back.

Love going here for breakfast, I'm happy that there's one in the area. Great pancakes and milkshakes, a little expensive but definitely worth it.
