We chose this restaurant because the reviews were generally good and the photos portraits a fine dining experience. Whenwe walked in we were seated at our table and immediately heard our soon to be server, Rachel, arguing with the other staffmembers that she did not want people seated in her section. This was a very loud argument, we were at the table right behind thehostess stand and could hear this argument that was taking place by the kitchen bar area. When she came to our table we let itbe known we heard her argument and would feel better if we were sat in another section. She moved us, then came back and said?they?re making me take you guys.? It was an incredibly awkward experience for us. We were extremely underwhelmed with theentrees; shrimp pesto was bland and cold, the Cajun chicken risotto was watery. The black walnut old fashion was the great. That?s about the only positive, other than that we could not wait to leave this establishment. We did not ask to speak to amanager because we assumed that is who told our server that she had to take our table. We should have left at that point though.
Tried Stella?s carry out for the first and last time today, food was good but wasn?t worth the price! Paid $19 dollars for the Sunday pasta and it didn?t even come with bread or soup/salad.. I understand inflation but come on. I will just continue withhighland house from now on!
My wife and I have been here twice now, and have loved it every time and plan on returning many more times. Heather, the Bar Manager, is fantastic, and our latest waitperson (Brittney) was great. Our first visit we had pasta, and on this last visittried their pizza. I would like to note that my wife has a gluten sensitivity, and she said the gluten-free shrimp pesto was thebest she has had, and their sweet potato pizza crust was excellent! Highly recommend Stella's Table!
This is a very nice little place. The service was excellent. The food is on point. I had the piccata which was a little Bland until I squeezed some lemon on it. The calamari was cooked perfection. Got to say the portion was not very large. Squid is notexpensive. We had a nice bottle of wine for 30 bucks which I thought was reasonable. Everyone enjoyed their food. So I wouldhave to say that this is a very solid dining experience. I would not hesitate for a moment to go again. I was in the restaurantbusiness for many years as a younger person and know the difference.
First time, but very recommended by a friend and well worth it. It was not unusually busy for a Saturday night, but the service was on point and the kitchen time was right. Our server Matthew made some great recommendations and everything was very well prepared. Even the desserts, while decadent, were not overwhelming and are scratched. Great atmosphere and child-friendly also!
