Note that you have to do everything other than picking up your own food from the kitchen : I say this so you are aware when you are asked to tip when ordering the food (you have to find a table, take one own silverware, get your own water ave subsequent refills). On to the good: The butternut squash bisque turned out to be a roaster butternut squash soup without the weight of a bisque and was like a warm hug! Pesto chicken was a bit of a messy affair but the standout on the plate was the gigante bean salad!! It was deliciously garlicky and acidic which made for great eating. Veg were very greasy but serviceable. Overall solid food.
What a find ! Lovely well prepared food out in White Rock. Casual atmosphere with families enjoying the big tables and the holiday vibe.Perfectly prepared French pastries and desserts like macarons (ooo the salt caramel and the vanilla ! And madeleines with their little top bumps : Can imagine that took some recipe tweeking up in this altitude. Service: Dine in
Ordered the pork schnitzel and the mac n cheese for dinner. The mashed potatoes with capers of my pork schnitzel dish was an unexpected combination but very delicious. Portion sizes are very generous, come hungry! Overall a cozy, clean cafe : Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I enjoy that Pig and Fig is one of two restaurants in White Rock, but unfortunately they regularly get takeout orders wrong. There is almost always something wrong with my order when I go to pick it up, usually a forgotten side or the wrong side entirely (which sucks when you pay extra for french fries, for example). The food is decent, but be sure to double-check any takeout orders before leaving the building, as you'll probably need to ask for something you paid for that was forgotten.
Food was great. Service was also great despite the place being very busy. Sat at the outdoors porch area and enjoyed the great weather. Will definitely be back! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
