Soban's - Whitecourt

Food is good, love their prawn tempura, restaurant is not always full. The only bad thing is they closed on Sunday.

We stopped at this place on our way through whitecourt because of its great reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. Our sushi rolls had barely any meat on them, lots of rice and avocado. We also ordered chicken teriyaki and I’m not sure what kind of meat it was but I assure you it was not chicken. I have cooked chicken for many many years and what was on our plates was not chicken. In the end we spent $54 for an empty stomach and went to the nearest fast food place after to fill up before our drive north. Would pass on this place if I had a redo.

I went to Soban based on the positive reviews in Trip Advisor and I’ve come back to the place 3 times now. They have a great selection of authentic Japanese and Korean food. I’ve tried so far the bibimbap, goma ae, seaweed salad and agedashi tofu and everything tasted great!

Our family orders from Soban at least twice month and have never been disappointed. The food is always amazing and the service we receive on the phone as well as from the delivery people is top notch. We will continue to order from here and keep on trying new things everytime as we have always been happy with the food.
