Feedback gevenI had been meaning to try this restaurant for a few months and finally decided to based on the positive reviews. The staff at Buffet Hut, like most Indian restaurants, were friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was clean and visually appealing. The food was flavorful, but unfortunately, it was not very hot. The buffet was smaller than expected and some of the items mentioned in other reviews were not available. Beverage orders were not taken and we had to ask for water. The dessert selection was lacking. Overall, it seems that the owners could benefit from more experience and attention to service and food temperature. I probably would not dine there again.
My family and I, (2 children and woman), visited the buffet hat, as we really want an Indian fix! The price was quite decent and they gave us a 10% discount as they had just opened a few months before. Although the value was good for a buffet, since my 5 years old is limited to spices, he could really eat only rice and naan and vegetables. My older son and I were able to use the complete buffet, but my wife, who is a vegetarian fight, as it is only 2 options for her. Despite the discount and the really proactive and good service, I would recommend that they have to improve the offer. Maybe it was because there weren't many people, so a limited menu was offered. Overall, I would recommend that this place is best suited for a post-drink bite with your mates. I wouldn't suggest it for a romantic evening or for people with limited nutrition.
The owners and employees are all very friendly. The food is delicious: from the samosas, various meat and vegetable cures as well as the generous portions of Naanbrot. The different flavors and different spices are excellent. Do not judge this restaurant...always through its decor, it is very basic and water is self-service in polystyrene cups! At least you know the cups are clean!
I discovered this restaurant through GROUPON and got a special deal. Initially, I was skeptical about dining there based on the restaurant's website but was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The owner, Shere (apologies if misspelled), was genuine, polite, and very friendly. The rest of the staff, possibly his mother, were also lovely. They kindly swapped the wine in the deal for a Lassi at my request. Currently, they have a buffet dinner special for $14 that looks enticing. Being a vegetarian, I only tried the vegetarian dishes such as herbal corma and saag paneer, both of which were delicious. My father enjoyed his meat curry as well. Overall, I had a great experience with the food and service, and look forward to returning when I'm in Melbourne again.
I went to a new, clean restaurant last night and was impressed by the delicious food they offered. The buffet had a great selection of curries and breads, all kept hot in modern heated trays. The only downside was the limited dessert options. Overall, the experience was wonderful and I will definitely be going back. Delicious!
