South Parade is blessed with 2 or 3 very good coffee/luncheon spots - and one or two very ordinary ones. The Station House is at the better end.The service is prompt and efficient, the food is a good standard (I had Eggs Benedict with a 'proper' sauce - not from a bottle) and the lady making the coffee takes genuine pride in her work. The cafe is a little spartan in terms of presentation, but it's comfortable enough and the staff are quite welcoming. The prices however are a shade on the high side.
Stopping bye recently for a take way coffee i was presented with two sizes, small and regular to choose from.At $4.70 for a regular size latte, i walked out.Take my business elsewhere. For what costs around .70 cents to make what a mark up, a total rip off.
Noting special in terms of atmosphere, but always space, and coffee and food is good, albeit a little expensive for what you get. Service friendly and responsive. One of the few (only?) coffee shop in area to have lactose-free milk.
A ladies breakfast. Opposite Blackburn railway station. Great variety for breakfast, served hot, and well presented. Pleasant staff and happy to be flexible with the menu.
