Legend Of Taste - Whitestone

The food at this restaurant is excellent and the location is convenient, especially for those looking for good Szechuan cuisine in Flushing. I keep coming back to this amazing spot! The dishes here are a step above the typical Chinese takeout, even though they share the same name. The prices are fair, especially at lunchtime. It's always a great opportunity to try new dishes. I highly recommend the Szechuan eggplant, kung pao chicken, and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup here is fantastic! It's far superior to what you would find at other takeout places.

We visited Legend Of Taste on Christmas Day, which is not their usual busy day. The restaurant was crowded and seemed to be understaffed. The waitresses were working hard but appeared tired from the long day. Despite the challenges, they were very kind to us. The kitchen staff also seemed overwhelmed. The food was decent. We plan to return on a less busy day to give them another chance.

The food at this restaurant is consistently good, with a limited but satisfying selection of beers. The portions are generous and easily shareable between two people.

This place is a hidden gem. Complete with a Michelin Bib Gourmond mention. Everything i have had so far has been exceptional even as take out. I can only imagine dining in. If you like the non traditional sichuan dishes that you won't find in your average Chinese take-out place then I suggest you go to Legend of Taste as quickly as possible. They also have your more commonly recognized traditional Chinese take out dishes. Experience these dishes with your taste buds and your nose. Don't let your eyes decide for you what you think you will like or not like.
