Burger Hut - Whitley City

We visited Burger Hut for the first time ever this evening. Sad to say it will probably be our last. My husband and I both ordered chicken and dumplings. My father ordered the country ham, and my 4 year old wanted a hot dog. Apparently, they had ran out of chicken and dumplings and failed to tell the waitress. She brings out a small bowl of dumplings, I'm assuming what little they had left over. We got maybe 2 dumplings each. Instead of letting us know and asking if we would like something else we were brought fried chicken. My daughter wanted a chocolate milk and she got a Dr. Pepper. My dad's ham didn't even look like ham. The cobbler was very meh. Now what really upset us is the hot dog that was brought out for my daughter to eat. It looked old and just plain nasty. How a cook could send that out for a child to eat is beyond me. I wouldn't even feed it to my dog. I thought it was odd the waitress kept asking if she wanted ketchup on it. No wonder. I'd be ashamed to send it out to anyone. I made my husband take a picture of it. I will add it, so everyone can see. It was disgusting. Everything was clean though.

Great little family restaurant. Kid friendly. Good home cooked food. Friendly employees. very clean. Price's are good affordable. Milkshakes are awesome. A large which is huge costs about $4.95. Taco Salad's are also very good.

Thank You for catering our Thanksgiving meal for our associates on Thanksgiving Day, it was great, our associates really appreciated it !!! The dressing was awesome!! I know you was closed and you still took time away from your family to provide our Walmart family with a delicious hot meal!! Thank you!!!!

My favorite place to eat for 40 yrs. Hope it will be there for 40 more.
