I knew this authentic hole-in-the-wall joint had to be delicious when I saw they had to reinforce the picnic benches to hold a little extra weight! This place is the real deal for authentic barbecue. Best in the Southern Tier. Unless you want to dine inside, no need to drive to Dinosaur BBQ. The wait can sometimes be a little long because this is a family restaurant, but absolutely worth it. I’m embarrassed to say I plan my trips through Whitney Point to coincide with lunch and dinner.

This place was delicious! My southern belle of a girlfriend also gave it her thumbs up, so take that for what you will. We got the angry bird and it was moist, flavorful, slap me again kinda good. I would 10/10 recommend! We also got the pulled pork sandwich, though, and it was a tad dry. It just needed more bbq sauce. the flavor was there, but it left you wanting something more. The service was really great and the girl who took our order was super kind. There’s no indoor seating, so pop down your tailgate and have a seat, it’s gonna be good.
