Brightwood is a charming place. it has been running for years and they can still sit on the same standing elvis sat! the lit is phenomenal and that.
I had always wanted to visit this historic restaurant for years, but I always seemed to pass by when they were closed. Finally, one day my father and I were driving by and I realized it was opening time at 4:00. I was excited to finally see the booth where Elvis had sat! However, when I tried to enter, the door was locked. I wandered around to the side and peered in through the windows, but there was no one in sight except for an older gentleman who eventually let us in. It turned out that the bartender, who had been there for 59 years, was in the hospital and the restaurant was closed. Nevertheless, the owner, Paul Treadway, graciously showed us around and shared fascinating stories about the place. He even told us the famous Elvis story and showed us the booth. I hope they reopen soon, and I can't wait to come back.
Brightwood is a delightful restaurant with a lot of history. It has been in operation for many years and even offers the opportunity to sit in the same booth that Elvis once occupied! The Long Island Iced Teas are exceptional and the bartender is incredibly friendly. This is a must-visit establishment.
There is never anyone at this restaurant, and the longtime bartender is unable to make good drinks.
