Over the course of more than a dozen years, I 've frequently driven past Red Oak, often during my trips to or from Washington, D.C., always intrigued but regrettably constrained by time. However, today was an exception. My wife and I decided to stop in with our 7 month old child. To our surprise and disappointment, after a delightful stroll through the beautiful garden, we were informed of the owners ' no one under the age of 21 policy. This left us perplexed, as such policies generally seem to target lively children and teenagers, rather than infants contentedly seated in their parents ' laps or strollers. The employee at the entrance who relayed this policy was very courteous. However, observing him relay the same message to two other families, it was evident that enforcing this rule created some anxiety. Without a doubt, Red Oak 's grounds are breathtaking, and I can only hope that their beer is equally remarkable. However, those inviting signs, strategically placed along the interstate, might consider including a friendly warning to parents who, like us, are both pressed for time and attention, advising them to continue their journey. Given that we don 't reside in the area, it 's improbable that we 'll make another visit. Nonetheless, I extend my best wishes to Red Oak and hope they continue to prosper within the niche they 've carved out.
I'm a huge fan of Red Oak's and decided to take the hour drive from Raleigh to stop by at this place and it was worth the drive. The place is right of the highway so it's an easy drive. We did the flights and tasted all the beers on the menu. My favorite was the hummingbird. There is a large selection of beers and they also sell food. The hall is beautiful and you can tell they took a lot time on planning this place. There are seats outside as well and it is a beautiful location. The service was really great as the bartenders were really attentive. Was so happy I was finally able to visit this place that I got some T-shirts and beers to go. Hope to be back whenever I am back in North Carolina.
This was my first time visiting this restaurant. It was a beautiful day, so we decided to sit outside. We approached the bar and were impressed with the service. There were a few items available at the food stand, and we sampled the pretzel, which was hot and delicious. Additionally, there were two food trucks on site if you were looking for something more substantial to eat. Enjoy your visit!
Incredible spot! We dropped in while heading to visit some friends. We enjoyed some beer along with the food from the trucks. The food was fantastic, and the beer was delicious as well.
The venue is impressively spacious! They offer a great variety of beers, and the ambience is lovely both inside and outside. I would have appreciated a broader food menu, but then again, it's a brewery, not a full-fledged restaurant.
