Good eating good service and great ambiente. Pizza base was perfect
Lovely Italian restaurant, the gorgeous outdoor setting is quite romantic. Definitely recommend the moreton bay bug pasta, it was heaven on a plate. Lovely staff.
Probably the best restaurant on Hayman in a cosy, atmospheric setting. Overall I enjoyed my visit. Food: 4. Service: 3. The 3 course special of $75 was very good value for money, especially considering the location. For my entree, my first choice of the burrata was not available so I opted for the falafel, which was decent. A tad on the dry side. For the main, I’m pretty sure I ordered the taggliattele with Morton bay bugs. Instead I got the special of the day, which was similar only with tiger prawns. Luckily it was very nice, probably the standout dish. Classic Italian, super fresh, homemade feel, great subtle flavours. For desert, had the tartine. Flavours were nice but it was a little dry and overcooked I think. The fresh fig and ice cream were delicious. Service was average overall, mostly due to the variability. The staff are rotated through all the venues at Hayman so have no specific speciality in this restaurant and some are more experienced than others. Also, despite the fact that a waiter introduced herself at the beginning of the evening in a very American way as “my waiter for the evening”, in fact I think I had 5-6 different waiters/food servers come to the table over the course of the evening. The most memorable service moment was when one of the waiters asked me if I wanted any cutlery for my desert? I looked at the tartine with ice-cream and drying said “yes, that would be nice”.
The personal was beautiful. Lambry was fantastic. the veggies were amazing. fantastic room-sized pizza oven. crumble birds walk around as if they own the place
