Usa Donuts Croissants - Whittier

Good donuts the one time I went. Took off a star because the last three times I went, they have a sign saying cash only , which is a dealbreaker when you are someone who rarely carries cash. The sign claimed they would fix it soon, but so far no dice. (The three trips were across about a month, so it 's been a while). Hope they fix it soon.

Best donuts, croissants, and smoothies I've ever had. And service is wonderful. The owner always makes sure the place is super clean, and always works hard and fast in providing service. I love it here. Worth it.

The return of swim season (or at least youth swim meets being held again in the valleys between peaks of COVID-19) heralds an early morning need to sugarize my eldest son before he gets in the pool. That sweet glucosian boost has taken a few forms over the years for my teenager, but nothing sates his morning appetite more than a chocolate old fashioned and a small bag of donut holes. I know... father of the year, right? The proximity of donut shops near popular swimming pool facilities is no accident, however, and I refuse to accept that I'm the only bad-dad doing this. Near a popular La Mirada swim facility, I found USA Donuts and Croissants, a modest shop just a mile away from the parking lot at the pool. I ambled inside to find a small shop with the usual sliding door cold case of drinks, a two-glass-panel donut case, and all the other accoutrements needed for a full-service donut shop: lottery tickets, coffee brewing, and a lighted sign advertising sandwiches and the like. The friendly couple helped me pick a few things out of the case (still had a pretty good selection for a Sunday morning) and I headed back to the pool with my caloric energy in a small white bag. The donuts were fresh and tasty, and made sitting around waiting for my kid's next event a little sweeter. I suppose I'd return to this spot again the next time the swim meet circuit lands in La Mirada. You might want to check it out the next time your sweet tooth gets a little buzzy in your jaw.

Everything there is great. They make good jalapeno ham and cheese croissants
