Abuelo's Mexican - Wichita East

I went here for mother's day and it was packed lol. We were able to find a seat right away and we were given our menus. For some reason my menu was a bit dirty....... strange but we ordered anyway and ordered fish with a side of Chile rellenos. Little did I know it was a huge plate. I bit off more than I could chew but the food was the delicious. If you are going to go here PLEASE MAKE A RESERVATION OR else you'll be waiting forever for a table. Anyway I will be going here next year.

Best steak in my life came from here. Corbin provided exceptional service, like the way service used to be.The chicken is sofa king good! The sopapillas are to die for!We are usually loathe to eat out but we'll definitely be back here!Avoid the kids menu though, and the prices are quite steep but we enjoyed everything else! Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly, yes, but the kids food was not good. Everything else was though.

Great experience! Staff was prompt and helpful and came to the table consistently to make sure our visit was great. Food was amazing and place was clean with a very good atmosphere.

First time to Abuelos. Three of us entered right at opening and there was no hostess. We waited, and saw two wait staff walking around but no one seated us or acknowledged us. We finally decided to seat ourselves. The hostess finally appeared about a minute later and brought us menus but acted very put out that we hadn't stood there waiting for her. Our waiter was not very friendly, just did his job. So for me the service was not the greatest. However, the food was great! All three of us really enjoyed our meal. So I only took one star off for the service.

We did a take out family feast order of steak and chicken fajitas and a pan of enchiladas. The 4-6 size was more than enough for our crew (with papa's, extr queso and chips too). We had leftovers for the next day as well.
