Gaspar Brasserie - Wien

Decent lunch buffet, nice assortment of different appetizers, of which the salmon was good, large salad bar with ok choice. A decent choice of nets, I had the tort lines with spinach in a cheese sauce and good grilled salmon. To close a wide selection of sweets and fruits. Everything was clean and what was necessary to be hot, ok service.

I'm used to trust TripAdvisor reviews, this time it was a complete mistake. I asked for a table outside, in no case, the girl said it was completely booked. I sat down, wait 15 minutes before I called a waitress to get the menu. I didn't want to waste time, I ate what they gave me. The food was just barely ok, quality of a fast food with the price of a restaurant, it is worth not to say anymore. Then I waited 15 minutes more for a waiter to take the bill, in the end I gave up, woke up and went, not before I had another discussion with the Maître. Oh, did I mention that I spent one and a half hours in my food and nobody used the tables outside, even if I specifically asked for one? Sure, they had a reason not to give me any of these tables, as now, I'm not interested in whatever. The hotel is fine (I stay in the linked hotel), the restaurant is completely unacceptable, they will not see me anymore. Burger King, right outside the hotel, seems a much better choice.

We chose the restaurant by default after a long day of travel; with a big storm overhead, we decided to dine in our hotel. We had an excellent meal with local ingredients presented creatively and carefully prepared. The service was welcoming and good. We sit on the covered terrace, an elegant place that is well protected from the rain. One of us had a pig stable that was very tasteful and juicy, the other grilled fish. Both were served with well-tuned seasonal vegetables. The appetizer salad and the soup of the day were also particularly fresh. I can't comment on the wine selection because we didn't order this evening. I have paid much more for much less interesting food and indifferent service at home.

I was surprised by such a restaurant in a hotel. It wasn't so planned, but it was Valentine's day. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and each lady got a beautiful rose as a gift from the restaurant. The menu is very short...(5 main courses) and we took 3 of them (we were 2 pairs). Venison stew was excellent and was very large. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We could pay the bank card for the tip.

My business kept me out until later in the evening and I did not want to ride the bus to go downtown, so each night I ate in the restaurant. I was not disappointed. My first night I had venicson wrapped in a pumpkin meal...spread it was delicious and perfectly cooked. The second night I had the salmon, and that was also excellent and the pumpkin risotto that wen twith it was equally superb. My only regret is that the menu was so small I would have liked to see what else they might have.
