The Thomas Burke Jd Wetherspoon - Wigan

This is one of the less fancier Spoons. But don’t let that put you off!! Staff here are dead friendly and we’ve never had a bad meal or drinks. Real ales are usually a selection of 6 or so I love their Hobgoblin Moorehouse selection when on. Zero to complain about and I usually love to moan lol A great pub this :

A typical, reliable Wetherspoons. Great prices, simple pub grub and usually a good selection of well kept beers, HOWEVER on a recent visit 1/8/24) there were 40% of the hand pumps out of action!! Usually well worth a visit, but when we tried to order pizzas, we were also told the pizza oven has been out of service for over a month!!! So sad that I have to downgrade from my earlier review.

Great night meeting up with friends, the curry was good but nan bread poor

Good reasonable food good clean environment ...I can recommend the gammon and egg the only resen I gave a 4 for service was it was so busy

It's an interesting place, lots of characters and I like sitting and enjoying a bit of a people watch I'm there. I stay in Leigh most months and like a walk to this bar for a bit of a change of scenery.
