Twentymans - Wigan

Booked in advance for two but was informed on arrival that we had limited time as they only had a four and it was needed for another booking. Ordered drinks, came minus a glass and was wrong. Advised serving staff, drink swapped still no glass. Decided we wouldn’t take the risk on food being wrong so paid and left without eating. Serving staff are college students at best, with what appears to be little or no training. Best avoided and spend your cash elsewhere.

Excellent as Always!! , local independent Pizza place and in our opinion the best in Greater Manchester. We need more places like this in Leigh. A real Gem, always friendly and the owner is really passionate about his food and baking

If you haven’t eaten here yet, then you need to update your bucket list, I had read a few articles about the place so took my two daughters today, we were blown away by the quality, taste and service, we all agreed they’re the best pizza we’ve ever tried, and the chorizo in honey and red wine is on another level. Simple, quality ingredients that more than delivered on flavour, paired with the chefs knowledge of Italian cooking and Baking. I was even sent on my way with a complimentary stotty fresh from the oven. I will be back for more

This was our 1st visit at Twentyman's and I shall definitely be back. The pizza is outstanding! We opted for the bottomless pizza and prosecco deal which is £30 pp. We had a wonderful afternoon, the restaurant is beautiful and quirky, the staff and service they provided was fabulous. Long may they continue with the pizza wizardry!

Having been to this restaurant previously had lovely food, i decided to book in advance of our visit on Saturday 12th November 2022 as a treat for my daughters birthday. The table was booked online for 3 people for 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon, upon our arrival we were met by a very pleasant young female waitress who seated us took our drinks order. On our arrival there were only 2 x couples in the restaurant, one of which also had a small child with them as we did 3 males sat adjacent to the bar/ counter area, it soon became obvious that the 3 males were social media bloggers/ influencers filming the food which they were provided with by the male owner/ chef, as they were also taken behind the counter to film the pizza ovens the owner of the premises sat with them at their table. We had placed our food order with the waitress after receiving our drinks , ordering a garlic bread with cheese 2 x pizzas. The garlic bread arrived after a considerable wait time (after i asked were it was was it ready??? as the owner obviously chose to prioritise the social media influencers with their free food rather than his paying customers !! After an hours wait in the restaurant i asked the waitress had the pizzas actually gone in the oven to which we were advised no and we would have to wait for those, by this point the 3 male bloggers had left the restaurant and the owner was actually back behind the counter and heard the conversation between myself and the waitress. I told the waitress it was rather unacceptable service we had waited an hour now for food , the female waitress was very apologetic when i requested our bill in order to pay for the garlic bread drinks and cancel the pizzas , the owner just chose to ignore us and i felt sorry for the waitress who effectively was apologising upon his behalf. If the restaurant had been busy i could fully understand with only the two of them working in the restaurant we may have had a delay or wait time on food. I frequently dine out with my family members but have never received such dreadful service when a restaurant is almost empty it was evident the owner just wanted good social media publicity from the 3 male bloggers who were given free food to give him publicity. The least he could have done was to apologise but he didn't even come forward to the counter or acknowledge our complaint before we left he just walked away. So no doubt when good reviews of this restaurant are written by social media influencers bear in mind they received free food to write them !! Dont waste your time or money visiting courtesy costs nothing !!
