Hannoverscher Hof - Gildestube

The Gildestube is a local favorite, rooted in the tradition of the "Wildeshauser Schützengilde", a citizens army which dates back to 1403. Today, the Gilde is a brotherhood of thousands, who celebrate their history each year at Gildefest during Pentecost with parades, parties and a shooting tournament to determine the king. If you visit the restaurant during Gildefest, you may be surprised by a visit from the marching band, which makes for a lively experience!So it's only fitting, with a tradition as long and strong as the Gilde, that this village has the Gildestube, a restaurant offering German standards and local seasonal favorites on the menu. In the spring, the asparagus menu is phenomenal and in the fall, the "Wild" (vennison) takes center stage. Schnitzel and other favorites are offered year-round.The cozy and tasteful interior is the perfect setting for an enjoyable evening with family and good friends.
