Boondocks Truck Haven Cafe - Williams

I had a very good breakfast here that came with old time ambience and good natured service. An interesting and very pleasant place to stop on your travels.

Real good food, great service place is most definitely old school

This is a classic diner offering a standard menu. I opted for the BBQ ribs special, which came with French fries and access to the salad bar, all for under $10. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of pasta and potato salads available at the salad bar. The ribs were delicious, and the fries had a nice crunch on the outside while being fluffy on the inside. The strawberry rhubarb pie paired with ice cream was quite satisfying as well. The waitstaff were friendly and accommodating. Overall, I was very pleased with both my meal and the service. Next up, I plan to try their all-day breakfast!

I overheard the cook discussing the salad bar with customers in a way that felt unprofessional, especially when he mentioned it was first come, first serve, even if someone didn’t order the salad bar. Overall, the staff's behavior was quite rude. The only positive aspect was our server, who I believe was named Margaret. She provided decent service, but it was hard to enjoy the meal when she frequently engaged in bickering with the cook, Terry. They should have taken their disagreements out of earshot of the diners. I wasn't the only one who felt this way; the other two tables nearby were also voicing their complaints.

The food was excellent, the waitress was very friendly, and the cook was so humorous that he reminded me of Mel from Mel's Diner.
