Cinnamon Thai Cuisine - Willoughby

We had dinner at this very quaint restaurant on a CUDO voucher on 27-5-2014.The food was delicious, esp the Penang curry. The service was very friendly and polite. The restaurant was very busy , yet the meals were delivered in time and were presented attractively.I will definitely go there again.I am sorry about other poor reviews, because to us the experience has been a delight

If u come here for dinner, make sure u have nothing planned afterwards because the wait is long! We were served by this gay waiter, after we order our food it is hard to get waiter's attention since we were seated near the front. Funny the people who order takeaway have the upper hand of getting their food because they just come and pick it up. I have uploaded the entrees and mains me and my gf had in this restaurant. Food wise there is nothing worth to mention, typical thai and it tends to be a bit more salty than usual thai food. Pretty sure there is better thai restaurant around than this one.

We purchased a cudo deal. 6 meals. We arrived to a tiny over crowded restaurant. We were shoved on a little 2 seater table near the front door unable to even swing a cat. In 20 minutes the waiter came to take our voucher/order. We asked for a bottle of water and a soft drink. 20 minutes later the soft drink arrived after asking for it again. No water. We asked 3 times for a bottle of water. Nothing. No wine cooler for the wine.They didn't even attend our table, treated us like we were not even there but only to deliver our food. We had chills to the bone sitting under the freezing air conditioning. We got to our main meals 2 hours later and the food was cold. They didn't even serve the food or poor the wine, still no wine cooler. $2 cork-age charge. The restaurant was so noisy we couldn't even hear ourselves speak. 2 waiters with a full restaurant and also doing take away. After 2 hours we didn't even stay to for the desert which would have taken another 20 minutes or so. The soup had one prawn. over 2 hours for a meal for 2 people that cant talk is unacceptable. I think even using the voucher companies wont help this restaurant. The service was the worst I have ever experienced.

Wouldn't you think a restaurant that was trying to attract new customers by offering a banquet for a special price, would really try to 'wow' you with their offering so that you would be so impressed, you would make it your favourite local or at least come back? Unfortunately, this did not happen. Since we were not permitted to order from their items 'recommended' dishes, we can only judge from what we were allowed to eat and as far as Thai food is concerned, this was not great food. My prawn soup which contained one teaspoon of teeny weeny prawns had so much fish sauce, it was inedible. The red curry was very disappointing and there were barely any vegetables in anything. The hot black sticky rice serving - though very small, was delicious but we won't be back because it also had no ambience whatsoever.

I love Thai and have been spoilt by the amount of Great Thai that I have had around Sydney and the world. This place is great and glad there is a good Thai place just down the road from my house. I have been to a few places in Willoughby and so far this is my favourite restaurant, hope they keep up the good standard.
