This is the first time I stopped eating here. It's in a gas station, so I've never been thrilled before, but I was very hungry, it smells good, so I decided to try it. The frits are crispy on the outside, fluffy inside and very tasty. I have the fish and shrimp. Well done. Perfectly baked and not greasy.
Ordered dark 2 piece, jambalaya, mac n cheese, mashed. Relatively inexpensive but the flavor definitely shows that. Jambalaya had good base flavor but zero chicken, shrimp or real andoule..possibly spelled that incorrectly... Mac n cheese was awful, chicken was passable like a cheap riff on Popeyes. I might try the red beans and rice but nothing that I already tried.
Excellent Chicken and sides. Tried sides.(Mashed potatoes and gravy, Mac n cheese) All very good. Chicken tastes a little bit like Church's chicken. Krispy bigger and good. Not dried out. 4 piece filled me up. Also tried Red beans Rice, and Jambalaya. Both very good. Jambalaya is cooked fresh every two hours. Highly recommend.
I can 't believe how good this chicken spot is. Really. I usually avoid gas station food, but I couldn 't resist trying it after stopping in to fuel up on the way home one afternoon. The smell called me over to the food counter for a look see . Yeah right. I kept telling myself I only came in for gas but ?? ? ? ? ... The menu items are very reasonably priced. Food worth waiting for ?.Nice selection of dipping sauce. The staff is friendly and quite accommodating. Side note: Women 's Restroom ??
