Dimeo's Pizza - Wilmington

DiMeo's fueled my fantastic run at the Delaware Marathon. After taking the train down from NYC and picking up my race bib on Saturday, I enjoyed a delicious pepperoni pizza for lunch. As someone who grew up in Boston with Italian roots, I consider myself a pizza connoisseur, and DiMeo's truly knows how to craft a pizza. The perfect combination of crispy crust, rich cheese, and flavorful sauce, all generously drizzled with olive oil, made me feel like I was dining in Boston's North End rather than downtown Wilmington. It was so delicious that I returned for dinner that night to have a chicken pesto panini before the race. The next day, I exceeded my marathon goal and planned to treat myself to another meal at DiMeo's to celebrate. Unfortunately, they were closed on Sundays. What a disappointment! I initially thought my trip from NYC to Wilmington for the marathon would be a one-time experience, but now I might have to come back next year—if only for the pizza!

I was under the impression that they were open at 8 PM on Monday. I placed an order online for pickup and paid with my credit card. When I arrived, however, they were closed, and I’m now out the money I spent. I hope Dimeos sees this and can assist me!

Great spot for a quick and affordable slice! I had a slice of tomato pie that was really good and nicely crisp. I appreciate that they offer options without all the cheese. I'll definitely be coming back!

Dimeo's has quickly become one of my favorite pizza places. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the woman at the register is incredibly kind and hardworking—she was busy running around during the lunch rush! The two gentlemen who make the pizzas clearly know their craft. I tried a slice of the Chipotle chicken pizza, and it was absolutely delicious! I also enjoyed a standard Caesar salad that was very flavorful, and I couldn't resist grabbing a pepperoni pinwheel, which I always order whenever they're available. They offered at least ten different pizza options for lunch. The quality and flavor of the pizzas are outstanding! I've never encountered any issues here, and I plan to keep coming back!

I really enjoy the food here. There are some occasional variations depending on the dish, but overall, it's very good. There's a middle-aged lady who has worked there for years, which speaks volumes about how they treat their employees and their consistency. There's also a tall guy who may seem gruff at first, but he's actually very sweet and nice once you talk to him. I usually order their chicken Alfredo but add shrimp and request a blush sauce. They once had a taco pizza that was fantastic, but I haven't seen it in two years. Their wings are pretty standard, but I love their subs, as well as the little pepperoni and broccoli pinwheels. Plus, the prices are very affordable.
