La Pizzeria Metro - Wilmington

My husband and I love La Pizzeria Metro. We visited the first week it opened a few years ago and hadn’t been back until the start of this summer (2023). It quickly became our favorite pizza spot locally. We love the personal size of the pizzas, and the options available. I am a vegetarian so pizza is a number one option for me. I think the prices are great for the amount of food and the taste. It’s a very nice bar, and the servers are great. We have become regulars and the servers and hosts remember our faces which is really nice to see when you are a local. My husband actually says this place is his favorite pizza around. He gets The Market Street. We will definitely keep coming, and we enjoy the friendly faces. The only draw back can be kids because they can get loud, but that is what it is. Thank you for being a great neighborhood spot.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: Kids are definitely allowed and it can make the ambience very loud.Parking: There many times isn’t enough parking which can be a deterrent. There also isn’t room to wait inside unless you can get a seat at the bar.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the back of the restaurant

Very good pizza. The crust is soft and slightly crunchy, perfect to me.Theyvuse use a pizza oven which you can see constantly if you eat inside.Few improvment points: the tomato sauce could be more tasty, it would improve the Margharita pizza. And the butter sauce that is on The Flats less on the garlic.(you cannot take your beer from the neighboor brewery to that restaurant)Vegetarian options: Few dishes without meat.Parking: About 50 spots, crowded when I got there.

Regular customers myself and Significant Other- went on Sunday 7/16/2023 Sat at the Bar in an attempt to order a Pizza and a couple of drinks, sat at two empty seats where customers just left. So the bar in front of us needed to be cleared which was not the problem. What was the problem we sat for 15 minutes no one bothered to clear the bar or even acknowledge that we were there and the Bartender was right there behind the bar. I understand that the restaurant was busy but a simple I will be right with you from the Bartender would have made a significant difference which would have kept us from walking out. If this has happened to us I am very certain that this has happened to other customers. It is unfortunate that customers are willing to patronize an establishment and just be rudely ignored by the staff. Stands the reason why so many Places are going out of business. Good customer service makes a big difference.cj

Best margarita pizza this side of Naples Italy hands down I thought it was pricey at sixteen bucks for a 12 after first slice I would of paid twenty!!! Will be back!! Delicious!!

Wow, the pizza here is to die for! I love how it is freshly made and served to you on the spot. They have a huge variety of different style pizzas it’s hard to choose just one. The service seemed slightly forced, our waitress was also the bartender so she wouldn’t check up on us as much because she was too busy serving the guests at the bar and chatting with some other girls who seemed to be her friends.
