Ruckerjohns - Wilmington

Very interesting place with a huge local succession and local atmosphere. Food was delish and the service was on point. This was a random picture and I just went to get some ribs as the pictures and reviews were really great. The ribs, while on the smaller side, not disappointed, very beautifully done. Flavor was a sweet rub that was really great. I've never seen a loaded baked potato coming out with an additional bowl! I love it, extra sour cream and cheese, I'd go back in a heartbeat. Pure reverence. My wife had the shrimps and grits and said they were boiled great on point, lots of taste and the shrimps. The appetizer was fried mushrooms that were great and seemed fresh. Great local beer selection and they actually had beer specialties on a Saturday evening, unheard of this day and age.

Excellent food and service! Consistent every time! And if the staff fights a little, the manager, the front end, I think, goes to help! That's it!

We ordered for the 61. My mother's birthday dinner was amazing! The service was also excellent and she really went beyond it to make her meal special. We ordered the Spinat Salat, Cajun Shrimp Pack with Sweet Potato Fries, Kicked nachos, and Debs Chicken Salad. Everything was soooo good. It was hot, fresh, and they had it ready quickly. Overall we were very satisfied and can hardly wait to order again soon. I highly recommend it.

This is one of the best restaurants as far as food goes in the Wilmington area. We wish we had discovered this sooner. The atmosphere, servers, variety, and quality were all super. This place does chicken right, from the marinade to grill. The flavor combinations will have you drooling. The tropical chicken and Santa fe were amazing. Even compliments on the sides, perfectly cooked. We will be back!

We had a tough time finding food that didn't taste like it had been frozen and reheated on our recent trip. Did not have that problem at Rucker John's. Tasted fresh, the family enjoyed the seafood options while I enjoyed a nice chicken dish. Had a delightful server who was clever and on top of it.
