The Hungry Trout Resort - Wilmington

Went in for dinner with my girlfriend. Food was nothing short of amazing. The chef has to have move for his craft for what he is making. It comes through with his or her cooking. Absolutely amazing. Servers know all about the menu and how the food is prepared. Etc. Great service ! Great food! Can’t beat it. Plus a lot of “high end “meat and poultry dishes the are affordable!!! We had a fantastic dinner at The Hungry Trout! We ordered the steak and trout imperial dishes and loved them. The atmosphere was great and the portions were very generous. Service was excellent and the location was perfect. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience.

We had dinner on New Year's Eve and were surprised by the lack of prices on the menu. We ended up spending over $700 for five people, without even ordering many drinks. The service was slow as well, taking nearly three hours from 6:30 to 9:20. Unfortunately, the food did not justify the high price. Overall, we were disappointed with the service and location, rating them both a 2 out of 5.
