Lo Quay River Cafe - Wilsons Creek

On a nice day this place is packedA little suburban coffee shop on the river, great views and pretty easy access.

A friend suggested morning tea at this place what a lovely little cafe near river I had a fresh berry smoothie to start of with Which was so good then

A treasure by the Canning River I first discovered this place after moving into a neighbouring suburb.

Four of us met here for lunch. Using my wife's account for review. My wife and a friend had wagu burger. Another had pulled pork in a pastry. Asked at the counter if fish tacos (notice the plural s ) came with tomato and the answer was no. So I opted for the fish tacos. When the dishes came out together (that's the only positive of this establishment three dishes looked reasonable). On the other hand my fish tacos consisted of half a piece of battered fish sitting on some coleslaw on a single taco. With a little bit of lemon on the side and despite my question bits of tomato under the fish. I can accept that as easily removed but the portion size was so small it would have struggled to serve a child. The dish was described as fish tacos and a main lunch item so the serving I got was pathetic. In my country description of a dish as tacos and getting 1/2 a piece of fish is breaking the trade description act. The owner can bleat this us a one off so I set a challenge to see if the have some gumption. Reply to this message and I will phone you for a full refund and a like warm foamy coffee. Places like this leave me very angry and I wish their was some government agency, city council that can stop blatant **** customers put up with.Will I ever be back - not as long there is y in any day of the week. avoid this place like the plague. Pity trip advisor does not you allow negative stars as this restaurant merits a few. And another point either close the open kitchen view as you order meals or take the trouble to clear the mess on the floor that looks so dirty. The other three meals were averagely good. Look forward to zero response as this is a true and accurate review.

I took my mother here for lunch and we sat outside. It was a beautiful sunny day and the cafe has a lovely view over the river. I hadn't been here for a while and was impressed with the food selection in the cabinet and the extensive menu. I had the spinach filo tart which was light and fluffy with a lovely crisp salad. My mother had an open sandwich with cream cheese and salmon which she thoroughly enjoyed. The only down side was that both of our coffees were lukewarm!! It would also have been nice if someone had taken our plates away after the meal while we were chatting.
