1220 - Wiltshire

The menu at the Red Lion is great, but there were occasions when items were not available and a second look at the menu was necessary. The food, from appetizers to entrees, is prepared and served well, always hot. Unfortunately, the young staff fell short as they need improved customer service training, which affected the overall experience.

This was my first visit, meeting family for a catch-up and lunch. The menu was good, and there was a reasonable selection of wine. The room had a cosy feel about it, in keeping with what I think was a coaching inn. Service was good...and prices reasonable.

This is a cozy and inviting spot to catch up with friends over coffee and maybe grab a bite to eat. The coffee is great and the atmosphere is charming, located in the historic Salisbury Hotel.

Close to the market centre and shops, great beer coffee and lounge menu and comfortable seating, what more do you want ?

My wife and I spontaneously decided to have Sunday lunch at the bar/restaurant. We had our lunch in the Victoria Lounge which was a lovely setting with comfy chairs and tables and had more of a restaurant feel than a bar. Sunday Roast was on...the specials and we decided to have roast beef a great choice! The meal was well cooked, hot, well presented and prompt. We were served by the duty manager who made sure all our needs were attended to.
