Located in the picturesque Nadder Valley, this pub is truly a hidden gem. The selection of ales is top-notch, served fresh from casks in the bar, and the food is absolutely delicious. The peaceful garden provides a lovely spot to unwind, with occasional live music performances at Open Mic nights. What sets this place apart, however, is the warm and attentive owners. From the moment we arrived, Ron, Ruth, and Oliver made us feel right at home, offering helpful tips on local events and attractions, and even introducing us to the friendly locals. Thanks to their hospitality, we now have a deeper understanding of the area's history, including the childhood home of Ralph Fiennes. The staff here is incredibly kind and welcoming – truly a standout among pubs. Our evenings spent here were the highlight of our holiday. - Johanna and Jürgen
10/10!! Absolutely fantastic!! The food was delicious, just like homemade comfort food! I couldn't find any flaws. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I will definitely be coming back to sample more dishes from the menu.
Popped in on our way through Tisbury and what a friendly welcome we had from Emma behind the bar and the owner (retired) sitting in the garden. Delicious grub, well kept beers, cider on tap what more could you ask for? Looking forward to moving to Tisbury later this year. Thank you.
Hearty meal in traditional country pub. Nice fish and chips (chunky chips) and burger…landlady very friendly and helpful..would drop in again
