Backseat Grill - Winchester

We stopped here for an early dinner while traveling from Long Island, NY, to Knoxville, TN. Initially, we were a bit hesitant when we spotted the Bob's Big Boy mascot outside, but once we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was incredibly friendly and took the time to answer all our questions about the menu options. Nearby, a customer had just received their meal, which looked delicious, so we asked what it was. It turned out to be breaded fried haddock, so I ordered that along with two sides: mac and cheese and applesauce. The dish exceeded my expectations with two generous portions, and I was pleasantly full by the end, which is surprising for white fish. My fiancé chose the Smash Burger and onion rings. They also have a spacious outdoor seating area. The atmosphere was very friendly; both the staff and other customers were sociable, and we could have easily stayed for hours. Unfortunately, we had to get back on I-81 to complete the second leg of our journey, but we will definitely make a stop here again!

Delicious food and fantastic service! We will definitely return the next time we're in the area. The salads were enormous, and the wings were delightful.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant, but I was let down by the hot roast beef sandwich. I was hoping for genuine roast beef, not the imitation deli meat that I received. The burgers and onion rings, however, looked tempting.

Great breakfast spot. Priced well. Served hot and fast.

Awesome food, cold beers, amazing service. It was super hot today, looking for a spot to drink some beers and cool down.. you guys gotta call an HVAC guy or turn that dang AC on in there. Hot as hell in there.
