Double D On The The Rocks Sports And Grill

I am 6'4 , 225lbs and I walk into Double Ds once a week and nobody knows I am there! The food is great and the people are great. I love that the owner is a cook and he involves his family in the restaurant. However, the service sucks. I have even thought about gifting my time to help out on the busy nights. However, even when it is not busy, the service sucks. I am good for spending $1,500 per year in restaurants. I would rather that go to a local owner that is supporting local employees. But, I can't be treated like dirt. It is time to find a new restaurant and I hope the owner of Double D's looks at the structure of the business and can find a way to put a menu in everyone's hands within 2-3 minutes max. We go to Double Ds every year when crabbing at least a couple times, it’s always fun. This year (Sept 2023) the fish and chips (not fries) were so spectacularly delicious I couldn’t even believe it, I’m still dreaming about the chips. The service was great but painful to see as there were 2 servers working the entire bar and restaurant. I can’t wait to go next year, I hope they have the same cook and more staff. The food was delicious. The service was not good. I got the feeling she only liked the locals. The locals were awesome. Doubt, I'll go there again. Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
