I came across an article that recommended The Dolphin Inn as a fantastic spot for gluten-free and coeliac diners. With this in mind, I decided to make a reservation for my daughter's 13th birthday celebration. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Bethany who escorted us to our table and went over the menu options with us. Knowing that my daughter has coeliac disease, Bethany mentioned that it was a pizza and pasta night but also assured us that she could check the main menu for suitable options. She inquired about water for the table and took our drink orders, pointing out the mocktail list which my daughters were excited about. I asked if the cake my eldest daughter had made could be brought out with the candles I provided, and Bethany graciously agreed to add her own artistic touch with the candles. We placed our food orders and were thoroughly pleased with the meal. The pasta dishes were superb, while those who opted for the non-gluten-free pizzas thoroughly enjoyed them. My daughter chose the Hunter Burger, which was juicy, tender, and flavorful. We also ordered some gluten-free fries that were cooked in a separate fryer and tasted delicious. When we finished our meal, I requested the cake and Bethany promptly brought it out, singing along and providing plates, forks, and napkins. She truly went above and beyond to make our evening special and ensure that my daughter felt safe dining at The Dolphin Inn. I am grateful for the outstanding hospitality and kindness shown to us, with special appreciation for Bethany. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
A first visit for us! As parents to two young Coeliac children, it is always really nerve wracking and almost impossible to find places to eat that can safely cater. We saw on a local Coeliac group the Dolphin inn was recommended and decided to book for Mothers Day. We were looked after by Bethany and she couldn’t have been more friendly, welcoming and reassuring when we advised of the girls health condition. The food was lovely and prompt. We had the Sunday roast and a pudding. We even had a visit from Ben the Manager checking the girls and explaining how everything that goes in fryers etc is GF so no cross contamination. We will certainly be back again very soon. Thank you all. Table 12 1pm 10/03
Exceptional service from start to finish! Considering how busy it was on Mother’s Day, Bethany (captain of the ship) and the team were brilliant. Big up the roast dinners. Big up Bethany team. Love, table 3 x
Great gluten free fish and chips but disappointed with the change to the lunchtime menu. They no longer offer small servings so I had the standard size and was too full for pudding. I passed on the starter too.
