The food we were able to eat before being evacuated was disappointing. We were expecting higher calibre pub grub but really got low quality pub grub. The deep fried pickles were too battery and soggy, for example. We will try the theatre again but are only likely to order popcorn.
After having been to a Landmark theatre with recliner seats for a ticket price of around $15, it seemed rather disappointing to find that the seats and leg room were so much LESS for a ticket price of over $25. The lounge/restaurant was fine and the service was good, but the overall experience was lacking for the price tag.
Food was not good at all, it was also expensive. Service was fast and waiter was polite. Would rather go to a different restaurant in the future.
Food was good. Service was only okay, but I do believe it was a fairly new employee so I understood that. The drinks were great, it was nice to enjoy dinner before a movie. Will most likely visit again for a date night.
After waiting over 35 minutes to order food, we found out they were out of romaine lettuce, so we couldn’t have the taco salad. We only discovered this because our server went to check on our delayed order. This left us scrambling to choose something else nearly 45 minutes after our initial order, which was concerning since our first meals still hadn’t arrived, and we worried about whether the new ones were being prepared. We also ordered an appetizer that took over 40 minutes to be served, and that was only after I inquired about its status. It seemed like they were possibly preparing it alongside the main dishes. At 5:45, our server mentioned they would bring our food to our seats, but since we made the reservation specifically to eat in the restaurant before the movie, this was frustrating. When 5:55 rolled around and we still had no food, again they insisted on bringing it to our seats. At that point, we decided to cancel our meals since we needed to head into the theatre around 6:05. The drinks also took a long time to arrive, around 10 to 20 minutes each time. Once in the theatre, despite there being plenty of servers, it was evident that the kitchen was overwhelmed, with food orders delayed and missing essential ingredients. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the kitchen and the staff, who could only say the kitchen was backed up. It was not busy when we arrived, which made the delays even more puzzling. Ultimately, we left the VIP theatre to get our own snacks and drinks for the movie. To add to our frustration, the food we had canceled was later delivered to our seats, which we promptly sent back. Duplicate drinks also ended up arriving. While our server, Amy, in the dining room was lovely and did her best, it was clear that the kitchen management was severely lacking. They need to improve their stocking, communication, and order prioritization to provide a better dining experience.
