The Windmill - Windlesham

The meal was very enjoyable, but it was unfortunate that the fireplace was not lit as it would have added to the ambiance. The restaurant was chilly enough to warrant lighting it.

Despite a slight hiccup with our reservation, we were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The food was outstanding and the service was excellent.

The pub was quiet at noon, but that's probably because Ascot was on. The service was impeccable, attentive, without being overlaid and the food was delicious.

Generally excellent, but today the service was extremely sluggish. There weren't enough employees to handle the amount of customers.

I gave a 4 as my friends vegetarian dish she said was delicious. I chose the crab prawn fish cakes and to be honest if you’d said it was a plain potato cake I would have believed you. It was pretty tasteless without a hint of any form of fish! The pea purée it sat on was very tasty. The service and ambiance were good so we would definitely return, just not choose bland fish cakes!!
