I loved the retro cars and duke boxes painted on the walls inside. The vegetable burgers we ordered were made just like they do in Canada, with a knife holding it all together in the middle. The fillings were overflowing and delicious. The vegetable patty was moist, huge, and packed with vegetables with a crispy crust. The bun was light and fluffy. The service in the diner was prompt and courteous as always.
I had intended to visit the Willow Spoon this morning, but the opening hours listed on Zomato were incorrect. When I arrived at 6:40am and realized they didn't open until 7:00am, I decided not to wait and headed back to the Sunnybank area. However, as I drove past the shopping center on Newmarket Road, I remembered that the eatery was open early that day and changed my mind to give it a try. When I arrived and found out they also opened at 7:00am, I asked the friendly staff if they were open yet. They gave a polite and welcoming response with a smile. As soon as I entered the café, I felt the American vibe. I ordered a flat white and a vegetarian breakfast, as it was my vegetarian day. The Merlo coffee arrived quickly, though it was a bit weak for my taste, it still gave me the caffeine boost I needed. After 10 minutes, my breakfast was served - a spectacular dish with mushrooms, spinach, eggs, beans, tomatoes, hash browns, and toast. I ended up only being able to finish half of it and felt a bit embarrassed. Overall, it was a nice start to my day.
Always serves quality food, the service is great! Love the coffee and milkshakes. The American bottled drinks are also great!
I stumbled upon Harry's Diner during a brief break and decided to give it a try with my dining partner. We opted for a comfortable booth seating and were impressed by the friendly service and work ethic of the staff. Ordering at the counter was easy and efficient. I ordered the Route 66 burger meal which came with beer battered fries and coleslaw. The burger was huge and packed with flavor, with a juicy ground beef patty, bacon, egg, and cheese. The burger itself was one of the best I've had in a long time, with each ingredient tasting fresh and of good quality. The coleslaw was on the drier side, emphasizing the crunch of the cabbage and carrot. The beer battered fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly, though I wish there were more. To drink, I tried a Boylan Black Cherry soda float, which was refreshing on a hot day. The unique flavor of the soda paired well with the ice cream. Overall, my experience at Harry's Diner was satisfying and I would definitely return for the generous portions and variety of options available. Once you get past its unconventional location, Harry's Diner is definitely worth a visit.
I visited Harrys Diner. The food was fantastic. I have had friends tell me about the food and Drinks are amazing and now that I have finally been, I totally agree with them On the day my family and I went we got treated to one of the events. A beautiful car club was also at Harry's. A regular customer told me that Harry's Diner has events like this regularly and they list events on Facebook. All of the owners of the cars were very friendly and willing to talk about what if anything they did to the cars I will add some photos from my XPERIA as we did not realise that a car club would be at Harry's Diner.
