Royal Oak - Windsor and Maidenhead

This restaurant is fantastic! The service is top-notch and the food is absolutely delicious. We adore this place and will continue to dine here regularly.

Had a lovely evening at The Royal Oak. It definitely lives up to its reputation. The staff greeted us warmly without being too overbearing. The food was outstanding, worth every bite. It is years ago that we in the royal oak and it is a bit changed. eating was always good, but now is “from this world” and amazingly good for the presentation, the aromen and the perfect portions with which we were presented. the atmosphere has not changed and is still warm, friendly and unpredictable for a Michelin star restaurant. our waiter knew his weeping and recommended the most beautiful bottle argentine syrah we loved. we will be back soon!

A great find. We wanted a lunch location between Wokingham and Heathrow and were lucky enough to find The Royal Oak. Given the Michelin star, we were pleasantly surprised the place was not over run; we had a reservation, but it was not necessary. The food was fantastic; between us we had lamb, rock bass and cod, all of which were superb. Portions were just right for lunch and there is a great selection of side dishes if you want more; we had some wonderful roasted carrots. The pub has been sympathetically restored and has a nice ambiance. And as a Brit returning from overseas, a pint of London Pride was very much appreciated! Top marks and we look forward to visiting again the next time we are in the area.
