A&W Restaurant - Windsor

Decided to get a quick breafast after noticing signage outside for new Chipotle bacon and egger. I usually don't write a review for a fast food restaurant but after a series of events, poor service and horrible food quality it was needed.I entered and noticed about 3 seniors eating breakfast not very busy for 8.35am on a Tuesday.I stood at cash register looking for the new Chipotle bacon egger sandwich. A lady yells out I'll be there in a minute. I was thinking ok..just got here give me time to look over menu. Right away the only apparent lady working comes and is huffing and puffing as I look at menu. I asked if the Chipotle sandwich comes with different buns because I'd prefer the sesame bun over the english muffin. Quite rudely she answers yes I can that the picture only shows it with English muffin bit I can get sesame. Great I ordered that and also noticed for $2 more I can add a small coffee and hashbrown. The lady had trouble entering or finding the buttons to enter into register. Anyways after she figured it out at the one till she then grabs the debit machine from the opposite side of the counter at the other register and rudely tossed the debit machine. Didn't say anything.. so I go over tap my credit card.. she then goes over to make my sandwich..which is gross , you would think they should wash their hands. Anyways doesn't offer me my receipt so I figured she would put one in my takeout bag.Meanwhile I noticed a new menu item to me anyways it was an all Canadian breakfast that I figured looked appealing and that my wife and I would enjoy on another visit. So I decided to take a picture of that menu board so I could text it to my wife. We enjoy trying out new breakfast places when we find them. Anyways the lady making my sandwich must have eyes in the back of her head..cause she noticed me taking a picture. It only took 1 sec. Anyways she yells over at me like a little child that I can't take pictures of the menu board. I said sorry and why? She angrily said its a media issue. She was looking at me like she had daggers in her eyes and was about to go off. Anyways she finished my sandwich and packed it into a bag and rudely tossed it on the counter. I grabbed my bag and left. I ate my breakfast out in my car in the parking lot and took several pictures of my sandwich after finding it disgusting. First off the Chipotle sauce was great best I've had. It was sweet and smokey with a slight heat. The seasame bun was fresh as well as the bacon was smoky and good.But that's about all that was good. My egg had a tough chewy bottom layer. I swear it must be burnt plastic from the bun bags. Can't be 100% certain but I took several pics so you decide. I couldn't eat the egg as i couldn't bite completely through it. Also my hashbrown was just luke warm and after a bite or two I noticed a black thing and later a grey thing in it. Gross!!My coffee was good. I will never fo back to this establishment after this experience.

I've been meaning to write this review about the amazing cook that works weekends at A&W on Tecumseh Rd in the east end of Windsor. One morning I went there to order one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches. I don't like bacon so I ordered my bacon n egger sans bacon and asked if they could cook my egg on the opposite side of the grill from the bacon, They said that it was no problem, but to just keep in mind that the egg is cooked on the same grill. It was nice of the cook to mention that as many people don't eat pork. I said no problem and proceeded to wait outside at a table. In a short time, the cook came out to deliver the sandwich personally and she said that she was able to clean the grill first so that the bacon drippings wouldn't affect the taste of my egg. How nice is that? She went above and beyond the usual service and she certainly raised the bar for great service at a fast food restaurant. So kind and friendly and accommodating. Thanks to the cook for accommodating customers' likes and dislikes, and personalizing orders. She takes pride in her work and it shows. Give this cook a raise!

Love their burgers always have. This is the only fast food place I eat at when I am in the mood for a good burger

Dropped in late Feb. 12th 2015 around 9:20PM to pick up a burger and fries on the way home Service was excellent Staff Very Polite Food Excellent Hot, Tasty and cooked to perfection.

Fast, tasty burgers, chicken sandwiches, Breakfast is also very reasonable and decent if in hurry. I would really recommend this place.
