The waiter comes up to us and tells me not to eat from my friends plates and that him and the owner are going to be watching me through the cameras. After I got my rolls, the server would watch my table the entire time which was very uncomfortable. The service is horrible and weird in my humble opinion. The sushi isn't good either. There's no music playing, the seats are fall apart, the bathrooms are dirty, the waiters aren't friendly and do the bare minimum. Not worth it
I've been a customer of this location in Windsor since it was a previous name. Sadly, the new owner has let the quality of both service and food go down hill. This last visit has left us looking for a new go to Sushi place... the restaurant is run down, tables sticky and dirty, seats ripped and duct taped and very under staffed. One night it was ONE waitress for the entire place! She was amazing and we tipped her very well because we felt so bad for her! This last visit we had to order one of our items 3 times to get it, found the sashimi, sushi and rolls so thin and small and too much rice. We used to really love this place, but I am afraid we are breaking up!
I went with my friends, had some man taking pictures of us (the sound was on and everything and we could hear the click of the phone camera). I went to sit with my friends for lunch and tried a SINGLE cheese wonton and looked at the desserts. I didn’t get anything else or eat anything else. They tried to charge me $22 even though I had no idea it was the all you can eat price. The server only gave us the all you can eat menu. When I told them, they were very rude about it. I ended up having to talk to the owner and I paid 5.20 for the 8pc instead. I never got the rest of the wontons, just paid 5.20 for ONE WONTON due to poor communication. They didn’t give me the other 7 haha. It was very unprofessional, why assume everyone that walks in knows exactly how your restaurant works? I was not trying to cause any issues. Overall experience was awful between having our photos taken by a random person and the experience with the staff.
Pretty gross, the seats were broken, the place smelt like a cigarette. Server kept putting her thumb and sleeve in our food no concern for contamination of food. I told her she touched our food, she kept doing it. Food itself was more Chinese bastardized versions of Japanese food. Miso was super watery.
Three soup orders of Miso and Tom Young soup sent back practically untouched as bland and watered down. White tuna tasted as if it was still defrosting on your kitchen counter full of water. Ordered shrimp tempura on the first setting and never received it. On second order told the same male waiter we never received it and were told it was coming. On the third order we told one of two female waitresses we still never received the shrimp tempura. I will check was the answer. Finally prior to ordering desert I politely asked the second female waitress if they had run out of shrimp tempura as they still had not delivered it. We told her that we still wanted six pieces prior to desert. Delivered all the deserts and for gods sake, still no shrimp tempura. A message to the management. Your three waitstaff on Feb 24, 2022 at 7pm were absolutely clueless. Every setting we ordered was wrong in some way shape or form each time. The staff simply did not pay close attention never mind the still confounding fiasco with the shrimp tempura not delivered four times. Easy way to lose repeat customers even before quality of food. Restaurant is only at 50% capacity and they cannot manage. What happens at 100%. Give the customers their own IPads to order with. Seating was for five, settings on table were given for four and not noted by the staff. Got up and removed from another table ourselves as food was served. Seriously they are a joke. Eggplant was cut with the skill of a one year old. Thin and nicely done for some, the rest large hacked chunks. Thin was cooked through the chunks not done thoroughly. Requested five hot tea one water. Waitress was confused, “four hot tea, one water”? Why not serve one pot, two teabags versus four individual little cups each with its own bag? Asked for hot water refill. Brought two small cups again and have to risk burning ones self to top your own cup up. Bring a flask, teapot of water to the table as a refill for ease of service. “New” pan fried vegetables was a mush of mainly onions and cabbage. One half piece of broccoli in there and only shredded slices of carrot versus pieces. Horrible. Can recommend the Thai style skewers, beef ribs were tasty. Deep fried scallops were solid. Yam tempura was good. Chicken and beef teriyaki was tasty. Most servings are very small. I understand the concern however my preference is a larger portion less need for service and I don’t waste food. Bacon wrapped asparagus was great and a new twist for me in a Sushi All U Can Eat. Ordered mango ice cream off the menu but no mango available for some reason. Overall quite a disappointing dinner from multiple angles. Taka Sushi as a comparison highlights this as a fail for me tonight.
