Carnaval Brazilian BBQ - Winnipeg

Very unique restaurant. The meat is fantastic, The sides are just a so-so but who's paying $40 a plate to go there and eat a salad?? I have now been here a few times and have not had a bad experience yet.

The food was absolutely amazing and not just the proteins but the side dishes too. Loved the fried polenta. Great service. Able to accommodate a large group (who wouldn't with an auto 18% tip) Will definitely go again

Made reservations and were seated promptly. Waitress was very good at explaining the whole experience (we have been to many Brazilian-type restaurants in Canada and the US.)The sides (had roasted vegetables ie only carrots) and Brazilian salad (way too much vinegar)Good selection of beer and alcoholic drinks. The main meal (the meat) was-tough- not marinated-burnt- poor quality cutsAt this price point there are lots of choices to get a better quality dinner and experience - waste of time and money.

First time at Carnaval was great! The food was amazing, and so much to choose from. Staff was very nice and professional and accommodating. When I asked if it'd be possible to get a more rare cut, he said it'd be no problem and that it'd only take a few minutes. The only thing that I felt could have been improved is when our drinks were empty, it was difficult to find our server and when we did finally order, it took a long time for our drinks. We wanted to try more of the drinks on the menu but didn't get the chance.

Eating here was the highlight of my 40th birthday. Not only was the food amazing, with plenty of it. The staff was very patient with a coupe of novices to the process. The host was very charming, and our waitress was a lot of fun. The gauchos (the guys with the meat) just kept coming and would run and get you whatever you wanted. This was a very fun night!!
