They make all the typical Chinese food dishes but come beee for a big portion of char siu (BBQ pork) and the streamed chicken with the delicious ginger sauce. You can get half and half like I did and I think they just add $1 or $2 for that. Think my generous portion of half BBQ pork and steamed chicken with rice was about $13. I split it over two dinners. The BBQ pork is slightly sweeter than others but moist and so good. The steamed chicken was succulent and so addictive with the ginger sauce (ask for some extra). Service was nice and friendly.
Evergreen Restaurant delivered some of the best Chinese style roast meats in the city. And while the restaurant's decor and presentation of each dish could be improved, the flavour is ultimately authentic and the portions reasonable. Worth a visit to treat anyone's itch for Chinese BBQ.
Chinese food. Small restaurant, but great food. Especially love the Singapore vermicelli noodles and BBQ pork. No frills decor, but friendly service! Definitely worth going back to try some more.
Cute little restaurant. I am not normally someone who is hugely adventerous and I don't go out of my way to try new restaurants, but after reading some reviews, I decided that my husband and I should go. I loved every minute of it. Great service, kind staff and the owner was such a nice lady! The food was good- first time trying duck and I fell in love with it!
The best Chinese Resto in Winnipeg. This is my husband and mine's extended kichen. My friends and I usually hold special lunches here. Our all-time favorite combination- duck and mushroom soup, mixed veggies with tofu and crispy fried chicken or side of pork! wow--definetely the best we have tasted in the city. their mussle and steamed fish are great too! It's like having a great dinner at home but with very delicious food.It feels like home becuase of the friendly service of Theresa and her children. Her husband/cook is the best cook in town!
