Excellent Dim Sum restaurant that will give Kum Koon some serious competition.
If you have a craving for dim sum in Winnipeg over lunch hour in the downtown area this place is for you! Very tasty! And NEVER busy! Just local Chinese people that will come into the restaurant.. Cheap food! Good tea! I wouldn't say its very good .. but definitely good enough! Would definitely go again!
After they increased their prices, quality of their dimsum have improved... happy hour from 11 am to 1 pm
Ordered from Jing Jing Restaurant recently - 'dinner for 4' - and received something resembling a cross between Chinese food and poison. The sweet & sour pork was made with spoiled pork that tasted like paint; the "dry breaded veal" was made with fatty beef that was unchewable; the Szechuan chicken was swimming in at least 1/4 cup of oil, and the only bite I tried contained a whole thigh bone; the mixed Chinese greens & chicken fried rice were equally inedible for their own reasons. A hungry group of 4 people who had been working all day managed a couple of bites each before asking, "Is it just me, or...?" The restaurant refused to take any responsibility or provide any amount of refund. The restaurant was recently closed for an extended period due to a rodent infestation. I advise anyone considering Jing Jing Restaurant to find another restaurant, any restaurant.
