Jolly Mug Restaurant - Winnipeg

I was impressed by the photos on the restaurant's website, so I decided to order a burger. Unfortunately, the burger came on a large bun that fell apart after the first bite. The patty was small and there were so many tomatoes that you could make salsa with them. The fries were soggy and undercooked. I felt like this was false advertisement, and I expected better from a small, family-owned restaurant.

The food here is very good and home-cooked. The salads are made with fresh vegetables and lettuce. I come to this restaurant at least three to four times a week; it's my favorite spot for breakfast.

I had a fantastic breakfast at this restaurant with a delicious omelette and coffee. It was a pleasant discovery and I definitely plan to come back. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely.

Went there this past weekend, the place was packed but they found us a booth. Server came very quick with our beverage requests and they were brought promptly to our table. Waited about minutes for our order to be taken. Food arrived about later and everything was not and home cooked. We all raved about the food and were impressed with the restaurant.

Came here for supper and tried to order my regular burger with a side of fries with onion rings. The server told me I was unable to order sides of starches. I’m not sure on what planet an onion is a starch but that’s...so ridiculous, if I’m willing to pay for the food who cares what I order? Will not be returning here.
