Love the home cooked hash browns. Coffee was refilled often and server checked on us at timely intervals. Price point is cheaper than any chain restaurants with better food.
The staff are lovely. The food is delicious. It is a warm atmosphere. In the past they have had live music that was great. They also make baking which is to die for. A hidden gem on the edge of Winnipeg. It's worth the drive!
A wonderful family owned restaurant! Every time I come into Winnipeg, it's my first stop, usually, for their eggs benny (but anything on the menu is delicious). Fresh ingredients, and everything is homemade. Waitress is always welcoming and provides quick service
We stopped for breakfast on a Tuesdsy morning. Quite a few tables were full. We seated ourselves and were greeted quickly. The menu is a single laminated page. Nothing fancy. Breakfast special is 2 eggs, hashbrowns, toast and choice of meat (bacon, sausage, garlic sausage, bologna) and coffee for $7.95. Service was quick. Food was pretty greasy and both orders came out with over easy eggs, despite not being asked for how one was to be cooked. Bacon was rubbery. Seems to be hit or miss here.
Ordered salad. Something didn't smell right on the plate. Turkey was in a dried lump, awful. Hard boiled egg covered in paprika was black in the middle. Couldn't leave it on the table let alone eat it. Tried the fish which was ok. Mashed potatoes were not good and were a strange color, couldn't eat them. Cole slaw was inedible. Never had an experience like this. Will not return. Server was very nice.
