Sleepy Owl Bread - Winnipeg

Just wanted to say how much I love Sleepy Owl Bakery and also loved 2LDs review of the Sleepy Owl bakery! It's what I would have written, if 2LDs had not been so well done! (P.S. Our favorites include Potato Onion, Oatmeal Raisin). Joanne is a sweetheart and because of the distance is even willing to set aside bread for me so I only have to make the trip to her bakery once a week. Helps, especially since we have so many favorites! I drive 45 minutes, one way just to come to this bakery. After spending 3 months in France, I have come to really appreciate well made bread. We even had family arrive from Toulouse, France and I was really proud to serve this bread during their stay with us! This is the best bread hands down that I have eaten in Winnipeg since our return!

Small bakery with sweet and savoury danishes, breads and more. Friendly staff and well priced baked goods.

This little hidden jem is beyond fantastic. Fresh quality ingredients, no preservatives. Great quality breads and pastries. Daily faves include miche bread and baguette. The Best croissants, flaky and just the right amount of crusty. Prairie berry danish is a must try. choclolate babka is great for a sunday brunch if it lasts that long. Great staff and friendly service. They only make enough for the day so if they run out of your fave, order more. We know plan our week based on the hours we can get their bread.

Excellent little bakery! Smaller selection, but amazing food! Super friendly staff. Priced very reasonably. Check them out!

We love stopping here and trying the different baked goods that come out of this lovely bakery. Get there early or you'll miss out on bigger selection. They also offer a selection of local honey to add to the bread you buy,
