Stella's Café And Bakery - Winnipeg

.5 for service This is probably one of the better Stella's I've been to. Much better than the Pembina location at least. Stella's is one of those restaurants where everyone has to go at least once. It's a Winnipeg staple that serves all-day breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even dinner, and it's always busy for a reason. There's a wide variety of options that fit everyone's taste, including those who are vegan and/or have other dietary concerns. I had their jambalaya during my visit here, and I definitely agree with Kristie W's comment on being her favourite. It's my favourite too! If you're not a rice person, then the chorizo hash is also another excellent choice. My friend from Toronto ordered that and was exceptionally impressed with the food, and he's a big eater too so it was just enough for him. Service was excellent, and with typical Winnipeg experience the servers had some small talk with my friend from Toronto, asking how he's enjoyed Winnipeg so far and if he'll visit again (the answer's yes btw). I'll definitely return next time I have a friend visiting, or even by myself with friends from here.

Since we have been in town visiting, this has been our go-to place for meals! As someone who needs options but is terrible at decision making, I appreciate that Stella's menu is complete with everything from vegan options to sandwiches to hot bowls to all-day breakfast to desserts! My favourite is their Jambalaya, which is served with an incredible herbed scone that tastes almost like focaccia. This dish saturates the taste buds with flavours from tomatoes, chorizo, chicken, shrimp and spices. The smoked salmon sandwich tastes decent, but the croissant itself was a bit flat and papery. The ratatouille is good if you dig vegetables. I am looking forward to try something from their smoothies and dessert menu soon!

What a lovely experience!!! Right from GO the staff were awesome, the menu was full of choices including All Day Breakfast (which was our goal). We had everything from pancakes, omlettes to smoked salmon Benny. The coffee refills just kept coming and our server was a DELIGHT. Wish I remembered her name! 5' 5 , brown skin, black hair, and the MOST calming vibe. For some reason they had to remake our pancake batter which delayed our order by 4 minutes. FOUR MINUTES!! Ha ha..so silly that she not only apologized for our inconvenience but gave us s free jar of Stella's homemade berry jam. All I can say is, do go here when in Winnipeg.

Had a wonderful breakfast here this morning. Good food, coffee and service. Go and check it out.

We came for brunch on a Sunday morning, and had a brief, 10-minute wait before being seated. We both ordered different vegan breakfasts (the Vegan Mexican and the Grand Veggie) and absolutely loved both. The tofu was simply amazing. Bottomless coffee and very friendly and attentive service rounded this play out as a peak brunch experience. Awesome place.
