I have ate in at Sushi Cushi for a half-dozen times. Every time has been great. Highlights include happy mouth, assorted sashimi, sushi pizza, gyoza....everything has been great. Highly recommended. $25 a person and we were beyond stuffed.
My fiancé and I come here every time we come to Winnipeg. The service is quick, the food amazing and I personally love the Sake! :)
Wanted to have some sushi while in Winnipeg and my Aunt said I know where to go. It was not in a spot where you would expect to find a sushi restaurant but it was certainly one of those places where you can't judge a book by it's cover. Great friendly service and the sushi was delicious and fresh. All you could ask for. Definitely recommend.
Two of us headed down today for sushi, and although its in a strip mall in an industrial park, we were really happy with the inviting and cozy decor. The downsides: Weak tea, some rolls were already coming apart when they were delivered to our table, and the sashimi party platter only included (one kind of) tuna, (one kind of) salmon, and another mystery fish (no shrimp, clam, scallop, octopus, etc), tako kimchi was only ok for me (my dining date really liked it though), and oddly the wasabi was not spicy. We were literally globbing each roll piece w it and - no heat. The good: Happy Mouth roll was delicious and good value, the food came out really quickly, servers were all friendly, the decor and ambience was really warm, comfy, relaxing, decently priced, a really good selection of items. We ordered it because it sounds so awful: Sushi Pizza - but it was delicious! Overall, the rolls we ordered were pretty standard and tasted good.
